The Paralympic Association of Assam organized a heartfelt send-off ceremony for the state’s para swimmers who represented Assam at the 26th Junior & Sub-Junior National Para Swimming Championships 2026, held in Bangalore from 8th to 10th June 2026.
The ceremony was conducted to encourage and motivate the athletes before their participation in one of the country’s most prestigious para swimming events. Representing Assam at the championship were Surja Saikia, Yesmina Khatun, and Narzima Sultana, who have demonstrated remarkable dedication, perseverance, and sporting excellence through their training and preparation.
Officials and members of the Paralympic Association of Assam conveyed their best wishes to the athletes and expressed confidence in their ability to perform at the national level. The association reiterated its commitment to supporting para athletes and promoting inclusive sports across the state.
